Pork Cuts Explained

Don't Know What Cuts You Can Get?

It can be difficult to explain what you would like out of your hog if you don't understand what a usual cut would include.

Below is an example of a basic cut for your hog.

Pork Chops: 3/4" thick - 2 servings per package

Pork Steak: 3/4" thick - 2 servings per package

Pork Roast: approximately 3 pounds

Spare Ribs: Yes or No

Pork Breakfast Sausage or Plain Ground Pork: 1#, 1.5#, or 2# package

Pork Bellies: Bacon or Fresh Side

Hams: Fresh or Smoked and cured

Ham Steak: 3/4" thick - 2 servings per package

Ham Roast: approximately 3 pounds

You have options on how you can get your hog cut and packaged. You can get your chops/steaks cut thicker or thinner. Bigger family? We can put more servings in a package. Two servings per package is the smallest package you can get. Want more breakfast sausage? We can grind roasts or hams for breakfast sausage if you would like.

This is just an example of a basic cut.

You MUST call in your cutting instructions at 1-308-824-3662. It will only take 3 to 5 minutes.
